Filtration plants - Sand
Filtration is a process mainly consisting in retention of suspended solids (both sedimentable and non-sedimentable solids) by means of percolation through a filter bed made of quartz sand, or carbon, or both connected in series.

By means of an active carbon filter it is possible to achieve also a good abatement of organic contaminants, such as tensioactive substances, soaps, B.O.D., colloids.
