Physical-chemical treatments
Physical-chemical treatments are used to eliminate non-biodegradable polluters from wastewaters.
These are often suitable for industrial plants in the treatment of process waters, that can thus be used again.
The basic principle of physical-chemical depuration is precipitation of polluters in form of insoluble salts (hydroxide salts) and the consequent removal in form of mud.

The plant is made up of tanks where the mud flake is created through chemical processes and of a decanter which will separate the liquid phase (depurated water) from the solid phase (produced mud).
